Leeds Academy and Saracens Academy served up a treat in front of a bumper crowd at the home of Selby RUFC.

The Yorkshire outfit maintained their reputation as one of the leading academies in the country, with a solid display in the 17-10 triumph.

Nick Wright, director of facilities for the Sandhill Lane hosts, said the occasion was hugely worthwhile for Selby.

He said: “It was a great success and we had a good crowd turn up on the day with a lot of new faces which was excellent.

“The coaches from both sides were more than happy with the facilities, and the game itself was really physical and a good spectacle.”

Wright added that the club are looking at hosting similar types of matches in the future.
