A WARRIOR effort from Selby’s second string was not enough to power past league leaders Garforth.

Selby’s youthful side took the game to Garforth and broke when Nick Weaver sent scrum half Danny England over, Weaver then tagged on the goal.

A stunned Garforth outfit struck back eventually, however Selby went ahead when Weaver booted over a penalty.

Garforth’s power and pressure soon told with two quick-fire tries before half time and after the restart the hosts began to run away with the game.

Despite Selby responding, the league leaders ran out 54-12 winners.
