DONCASTER DONS: Trinity duo in new Dons deal

DONCASTER Rugby League Club boss Tony Miller has secured the services of young Wakefield Trinity Wildcats duo Danny Cowling and Lucas Walshaw on a dual-registration deal for the 2013 Championship season.

The deal was struck yesterday afternoon when a high-powered Wakefield delegation, including Wakefield team boss Richard Agar, met their Doncaster counterparts at the Keepmoat Stadium.

“I’m delighted to have the pair of them available again for next season because they played an important part in what we achieved last season.” Miller told The Star.

“We also spoke about other players that Wakefield are interested in letting come here to gain experience and further their careers but nothing has been finalised yet and I’ll be having further talks with Richard.”

The two clubs announced during the meeting that they will be working closer together in a move regarded as being beneficial to both parties.
