Senior League champs romp to win

DEFENDING Doncaster Senior Football League Premier Division champions Sutton Rovers, cruised to a 5-0 success at Bawtry Town.

Tom Doherty, Leon Tarry, Luke Chambers, Darren Smith and Chris Hancock, shared out their goals.

Leading scorer Tom Salt was on target for Bramley Sunnyside in their 2-1 win at Rossington Main. Matthew Brunyee also chipped in with a goal for the winners. James Batchelor reduced the arrears.

A brace of goals by Liam Smith helped Denaby United triumph 4-1 at South Kirkby Colliery. Nicky Bircumshaw and Ashley Cantrell also chipped in with goals.

David Blake was the hat-trick hero for South Elmsall United Services in their 5-2 win at Scawthorpe and Bentley Rhinos. Adrian Howe and James Shakespeare shared out the other two goals. Dean Daffin and Brian Dickenson were the two Rhinos’ marksmen.

Kinsley Boys posted a 4-1 win over Carcroft Village 4-1 courtesy of goals by Sean Hammonds (2), Reece Hicks and Joe Howe. Joe Fisher scored the Village consolation.

Unable to raise a team, Mexborough Town forfeited the points in their scheduled game with Hemsworth Town.

An own goal helped Denaby Main gain a 4-2 victory at Bawtry Town Reserves in Division One and move level on points with leaders Hemsworth MW with a game in hand.

Ryan Oakley, Brenden Adcock and Joe Dungworth were the Denaby marksmen with Ian Horsman and Damon Anderson reducing the arrears.

A brace apiece from Neil Pickersgill and Nigel Beardow helped Hemsworth MW account for Newton Arms 6-0. Lee Wagstaff and Graham Phillips also netted.

Ben Bailey bagged a brace for South Kirkby Town as they kept in the promotion battle with a 3-2 success at Scawthorpe Scorpions. James O’Connor completed the scoring with Torrin Adams and Daniel Lambert netting for Scorpions.

Dunscroft United beat Harworth Colliery 4-0 thanks to doubles by Rob Sands and Jamie Hindson.

Rovers Foundation and visiting Swinton Athletic shares six goals between them.

James Bytheway, Emmanuel Bockarie and Hayden Tomlinson shared out the Rvers goals with Gareth Halford grabbing all three Athletic goals.
