Illness takes toll on Belles

BRAYTON Belles under-10s were unlucky not to get a result, going down 4-3 to Fulford at the weekend.

A slow start saw the Belles, who were without a number of players, go 3-0 down at half time before hitting back through Robyn Prince just seconds after the restart.

Prince powered through the middle to score, however Fulford struck once more giving the Belles a mountain to climb.

Determined to alter the deficit, the Belles created chances and clawed their way back into the game after Ella Mortimer netted from close range and Eva Abbott ran through to finish.

Despite the late surge, the hosts held on for the win.

Girl of the game went to Sophie Rhodes.
