Hero Tanton heads home late winner
Bubwith White Swan...................... 2
Albion Vaults.................................. 3
Paul Tanton emerged a hero of this pulsating clash at Bubwith after sealing a vital three points with an injury-time header.
Having also opened the scoring from a Chris Coxon corner, man of the match Tanton sparked huge celebrations as he repeated the feat for the winner.
Without Reasbeck, Taylor and Rowbottom, manager Chris Harkin gave a first start of the season to veteran Craig Hewitt, who soon rattled the crossbar with a fierce strike as Albion looked to maintain their rich vein of form.
A couple of classy saves from Chris Calvert kept the scores level until Tanton forced one home from six yards after Coxon’s corner was spilled.
But Swan soon equalised with a great goal as Robinson played a neat one-two before blasting home from 25 yards.
Matty Howden also went close, but the scores stayed level at the break before Harkin scoring his ninth of the season after racing onto a Hewitt through ball and lifting it over the keeper.
Coxon then fired wide and Hullah shot over before Jamie Sedman equalised for the hosts and it looked like staying 2-2 as the minutes ticked away.
Vaults entertain Brayton in a tricky cup tie at Denison Road on Sunday, kick-off 10.30am. Thanks to sponsors ABscaff, Lodge Environmental Solutions and ETS for their continued support.
