Hensall lead

HENSALL Athletic suffered defeat in their derby fixture against Pollington but finished top of the league on goal difference.

The visitors took the lead pouncing on a misplaced pass.

Appeals for an Athletic penalty were waved away when Mike Cotterill went down after rounding the keeper before Pollington added a second.

Hensall pulled a goal back on the stroke of half time through a Cotterill header - Bry Robertson making sure on the line.

Pollington made it three after the restart and Toes’ heroics kept Hensall in the game with a penalty save before the hosts eventually made their pressure count when Cotterill fired in a second for 3-2.
