Liam bowls up a big victory

MALTBY Liam Parker wrote himself into the All Saints Indoor Cricket League record books with bowling figures of 5-12 to secure a much-eeded win for his side against Rossington Main.

Batting first, Main were bundled out for 63. Richard Morrell (18) and Liam Flynn (14) were the only Main batsman to reach double figures.

Hatfield Town A had a comfortable win over their club’s B side. Paul Davies (29) and experienced Andy Shelton (20) knocked of the required runs.

Craig Pattison (25) and son Connah(18) once again were the mainstays of the B teams (75-3). Doncaster Town made it two wins from two as they beat title hopefuls Barnby Dun by 32 runs.

Town made 102-4 with good contributions from Amit Kundra(33), Gareth Cox (20) and Scot Exley (25). Dun (Martin Fell (31) were always behind the run rate as early wickets tumbled at regular intervals. Warmsworth eased past a depleted Askern Welfare (72-4). Aaron Gillies top scored with 30 runs, Mannie Bisby hitting 26. Chris Hadley (23) top-scored for the Common Lane side after opener Adam Saynor’s solid knock
