This weekend sees the first international motorcycle racing event in the UK this year as the World Superbike circus roles into Donington Park and, among the regular British riders on show, 20-year-old East Yorkshireman James Westmoreland has secured a wild card ride in the Supersport race.
James had the perfect build-up for this appearance with his first podium in the British Supersport class at Snetterton last Sunday on board his privately entered JW Racing 675 Triumph.
See the Selby Times for a full report from Hemingbrough-based motorcycle racing correspondent Graham Holt.
