The Robins are reeling from the shock resignation of manager Bob Lyon, who has been in charge of Selby's premier football team for over ten years.
The decision to switch last week's West Riding Cup tie to an away fixture, when it was scheduled for the Selby Times Stadium, is believed to have been the last straw for the man who has led many successful campaigns for the Northern Counties East League Premier Division club.

But Selby Town managed to overcome the shock of Bob's impending departure – he has agreed to stay on until a replacement can be found – with a 1-0 win at Brodsworth on Saturday.

See this week's Selby Times for full coverage in words and pictures.
