A magnificent bat signed by some of England's best is the prize on offer for a worthy cricketing wizard.
And with the season not yet halfway through, we are expecting the initial trickle of entries to turn into a flood.
In a competition run in conjunction with the benefit year of Yorkshire captain Anthony McGrath, the Selby Times are searching for 'Selby District's Cricket Hero' to be handed the handsome bat donated by local politician and former Drax captain Nigel Adams.
The bat's signatories include England captain Andrew Strauss, Anthony McGrath, Darren Gough and England Twenty20 captain Paul Collingwood.
For competition details, see this week's Selby Times.
