Powerlifter Tony Stevenson has won his way through to a couple of national competitions with success at last weekend's divisional qualifier in Ashington.
The 50-year-old from Lodge Lane, West Cowick, earned his place in the Great Britain Powerlifting Federation national event in Accrington at the end of this month, as well as the British Bench Press National Championships at Colchester in April after taking first place in the 50-plus category last Saturday.
