A full list of half-a-dozen friendlies starts on Saturday July 18 with the visit of Bedlington, kick-off 3pm, and includes old rivals Goole and Unibond side Frickley Athletic, but there is a noticeable lack of big names.
Town secretary Tommy Arkley said: "This is very sad because we pushed the fact that it was our 90th anniversary year. But I suppose the days are gone forever when even the likes of Huddersfield try and help out the grassroots."
