A MEMORIAL service will take place tomorrow to remember the life of a former Snaith School teacher.
A special service in memory of former year seven tutor and head of drama Rhoda Baddon will be held at Snaith Priory from 7.30pm for school pupils, parents, staff members, governors and friends, past and present.

Rhoda died on November 20 last year following a short battle with a rare form of gall bladder cancer. She was 49.

Headteacher Jean Pickerill said: "Rhoda was an inspiration to so many, and we've been really grateful for the support shown since her death.

"We're now planning a number of activities during the next year to raise funds for Cancer Research UK, and hope as many people as possible will join us for these events."

Visitors can park nearby at the school, where light refreshments will be served following the service and a book of remembrance will be available for messages and memories.

Fund-raising for Cancer Research in Rhoda's memory kicks off on Tuesday with the production Half A Laugh, Half A Cry.

Silliness, seriousness, sadness and joy will all feature in the concert, which stars Roy Kibbler, Gifford Rolfe, Joan Foye and fellow pupils all performing songs and poems.

Admission costs £3. Call 01405 860327 for more details.
