GREEN-fingered staff and students at The Snaith School are celebrating after securing more than £6,000 to develop an outdoor wildlife classroom.
A BIg Lottery Awards for All grant of £6,220 and community support has helped the seat of learning further re-develop its pond, and the cash will help spruce up the surrounding wildlife area.

The school's business and administration manager Christine Slater said: "We are absolutely delighted with the award. It will really help the education of the children."

The area's MP Ian Cawsey also showed his support when he came to see the work in progress.

He said: "I was very impressed with the work that was going on to make the old school pond area a real asset to the school and for the local community as an outside classroom.

"I'm really looking forward to seeing the finished project, added Mr Cawsey, pictured above with 16-year-old student Rebecca Moore.
