PROUD parents across the district have watched as their little angels – and shepherds – performed the nativity.
Snaith Primary School hosted a traditional nativity performance starring pupils aged four to seven, while the juniors put on a sparkling Christmas production of Panto Pandemonium.

The play told the tale of a bad witch who steals and mixes up fairy stories before the good fairy and young helpers save the day, and included Michael Jackson's famous Thriller dance.

Headteacher Kate Rowley said: "The performances were fantastic; a great combination of singing, dancing and comedy. Every child wanted to be involved and all showed just how talented they are."

Rawcliffe class one pupils also staged the tale of the nativity, while key stage two students performed Home For Christmas – a story of homelessness during the festive season.

A collection after the performances raised £184.20, and will be donated to homelessness charity Shelter, which helped stage the production.

And Hensall Primary School's nativity performance saw youngsters dressed in cute donkey, shepherd and Mary and Joseph costumes, to the delight of the packed audience.
