SELBY'S schoolgirl soap star Eden Taylor-Draper has been crowned at the British Soap Awards.
The Emmerdale child actress was nominated for the Spectacular Scene of the Year award just months after joining the cast.
On Saturday night at BBC television centre in London, Eden was awarded for her dramatic performance when her character Belle Dingle became trapped down a well and almost drowned.
Proud dad Richard said: "We're just all over the moon. I couldn't stop shaking and my wife was in floods of tears. Eden went straight backstage to be interviewed and then got to mingle with all the celebrities.
"She and her friend Hannah, who plays Victoria on the show, were just going round everyone and asking for pictures.
"We're just so proud of her and hope it's the first of many to come. The award was presented by Todd Carty, who played Mark in Eastenders."
Millions of prime time TV viewers were last night set to see Eden's big break.
She attends Selby Abbey Primary and is a Harman Stage School pupil who lives in Doncaster Road with dad, mum Niki, sister Francesca and brother Sebastian,
She fought off stiff competition from 30 other girls to take over the part from Emily Mathers last October.
Her proud dad added: "It's just fantastic. We only got back from London late Sunday night. Now we're just waiting for the award to be delivered!"
