SELBY Times girls Kim James and Jo Edwards will put their best feet forward in the Race For Life for Cancer Research UK on Sunday.
The dynamic duo (below) will be joined by Pontefract advertising representative Lana Greenheld when they tackle the five kilometre route around Pontefract Race Course.

Kim, 22, who has worked at the Selby Times’s Gowthorpe office for 18 months, took part in the charity event last year, and is running for her aunt Barbara who has suffered from cancer.

She said: “We’ve all been practising together. It’s a really good cause and we hope to collect plenty of sponsorship money.”

Jo, 21, joined the Selby Times front counter team earlier this year. Her two-year-old son Oliver and partner Andrew will be cheering her on from the sidelines.

She said: “I’m running to support my friends and raise money for a good cause. Andrew’s grandad, grandma and uncle have all died from cancer so I’ll also be running for them.”

Call into the Selby Times office if you would like to sponsor the girls. (d3756821) Picture: Kathryn Bradley
