RESIDENTS blazed a trail at the weekend when Wistow held its first ever scarecrow festival.
The fun-filled bonanza saw a raft of colourful creations go on show across the village, including Indiana Jones, Wizard of Oz, Spiderman, Tour de France and Angel of the North characters.

Selby fire-fighters also paid a visit to the Jubilee Hall, while a barbecue, ice creams and other refreshments were available throughout the two-day event as part of the fun-filled entertainment.

Our eagle-eyed lenseman Tony Saxton followed the trail to snap the action.
