THE SELECTION process to find Labour's candidate to fight the next general election starts tomorrow.
The group has been without a prospective MP since Selby District Council member Coun Wendy Nichols stepped down last year after the tragic death of her husband Keith from cancer.

She was due to go up against Tory choice Nigel Adams in the fight to succeed sitting MP John Grogan, who will quit when voters go to the polls at the next election.

Mr Grogan said: "A Labour Party meeting takes place in Selby tomorrow, where the timetable to select the next candidate will be put in place."
