FIT family the Priddy's are looking forward to putting on their cycling gear, saddling up and making money for charity in this year's Great Selby Bike Ride.
It will be the second time in succession Michaela, 38, husband Andy, 43, and daughters Alice, 14, Hannah, 12, and Grace, ten, of Sandy Rise in Selby, will tackle the 25-mile charity run.

But this time Mrs Priddy said the family will be joined by her two-year-old niece Caitlyn Shooter.

She added: "We always like to make this a family affair, and we're all looking forward to taking part once again.

"We enjoy doing things as a family, and we hope to raise about £100 for charity this year. We're quite an active family, and in addition to exercise, the girls play for the Brayton Belles football team.

"But we're in no rush to finish this year's 25-miler – we will be taking our time and taking in the scenery. This will be our second run-out in the bike ride, and I'm sure we'll take part again next year."

The Selby Times-sponsored event is organised by Selby District Lions.

Entry forms can be picked up from the Selby Times office, Selby Bike Centre and Halifax bank, all in Gowthorpe, as well as Halfords at the Three Lakes Retail Park in Bawtry Road and all other cycle shops in the area.

Money raised will be shared between the British Heart Foundation, Martin House Hospice, St Leonard's Hospice, Arthritis Research Campaign and Selby District Lions' own local charities.

Bikers can enter the 25 or 45-mile circuits, both starting outside Barlby High School at 10am. Fee for the longer route is £3 for adults, £1.50 for under-16s, while the shorter route costs £2.50 for adults and £1.25 for juniors. Teams of six can enter for £12.
