Moscow City Ballet returns to the Lyceum Theatre next week with what must be the world’s most famous and loved ballet, Swan Lake.
Moscow City Ballet is celebrated for its impressive repertoire of full-scale ballet classics. The show features lavish sets, dazzling costumes and stunning choreography.
Swan Lake follows the fate of Prince Siegfried as he falls in love with the beautiful Swan Queen, Odette, only to be tricked by the evil sorcerer Von Rothbart and his daughter Odile.
The ballet is performed to Tchaikovsky’s familiar score, played live by Moscow City Ballet Orchestra.
Swan Lake is at the Lyceum Theatre, Sheffield from Tuesday, January 8, until Saturday, January 12.
