NEWS: News.

A woman suffered minor burns after a chip pan caught fire at her home last week.

Crews from Selby were called to Rose House on Friday evening but on arrival the fire had already gone out.

The woman, in her 40s, received first aid from firefighters who attended the scene.

The fire had caused 100% fire damage to the chip pan whilst the kitchen blind was also badly burnt.

Heat damage also affected the ceiling and other areas of the kitchen, but crew say that smoke alarms were fitted and activated within the property.
