A SELBY man who used a wheelie bin to climb over a wall now faces a trial over whether he damaged it or not.

Kyle Daniel Sowden, 21, of Haig Street, appeared before Selby magistrates last Thursday and denied a charge of damaging the bin to a value of £136.

The court heard that the incident is alleged to have taken place at Selby Town Hall, York Street, on June 13, last year.

He will now stand trial before York magistrates on April 19, being granted unconditional bail.
