Police tape

Police tape

A TEENAGE girl was allegedly assaulted by a man as she walked down Bridge Street in Goole in the early evening on Tuesday November 6.

The 14-year-old was walking along the second bridge on Bridge Street towards Old Goole at 5.30pm when she became aware of someone behind her.

She turned to see a man standing close to her. He reached out and roughly grabbed hold of her right arm. She shrugged him off and left the scene. The man did not speak to her.

He is described as having a tanned complexion, skinny build, 5ft 6ins tall, clean shaven, with a large yellow coloured spot on his left cheek.

At the time he was wearing a grey or black hooded top with a black stripe on the sleeves and smelled strongly of stale urine.

A short time before the incident took place, two teenage boys passed the girl and may have also passed the suspect and police would like to speak to this pair as well as any other witnesses.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Humberside Police on the non emergency number 101 referring to log 552 of 06 November 2012 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
