Sky’s the limit!

A THRILLED Selby woman dropped from the skies to help raise about £350 for an armed forces charity.
Excited Vanessa Johnson (above with instructor) fulfilled a lifetime ambition when she leapt out of a plane at more than 5,000 feet. And the care worker also raised cash for Help For Heroes.
Vanessa, who is a methodist preacher, said: “I just want to say a big thank you to everyone from Selby who sponsored me to do the skydive. It was a thrill and I am so glad I did it for a worthy charity.”
Proud husband Robert said: “She did the jump and loved every second of it. Our thanks go out to Wez and the staff at Skydive Hibaldstow who were truly great on the day.
“Immediately after the jump, Wez said she had been brilliant.
“When the costs incurred of the jump itself are taken into effect, the full amount raised by the people of Selby and friends and family who have donated is £320.”
Late additions took the total closer to £350. Anyone who wants to donate still can by visiting www.justgiving.co./VANESSA-JOHNSON2 or ringing Robert on 07535 266056.
