Riccall youngsters prove to be good sports

RICCALL youngsters are getting in peak physical fitness thansk to specialised after-school classes.

Pupils at the primary school are benefiting from the Premier Sport Training Academy, who runs bi-weekly sessions.

Wednesdays sees gym activities practiced amongst the school’s younger children, whilst Fridays are devoted to basketball training for Key stage 2 pupils.

Headteacher Sam O’Brien says the classes have been welcomed by the staff and parent alike.

She said: “The classes provide good opportunities for the children after school.

“They really help to supplement the existing Physical exercise we already lay on.”
