Racing and fashion on show at 2012 St Leger Festival - Slideshow
A RECORD crowd of racegoers flocked to Doncaster Racecourse for the largest Leger Day turnout in recent years.
The sun shone for Saturday’s hotly-anticipated climax of the four-day festival, with eyes once again on fashion trends as well the racing.
Thousands of fine fillies got their glad rags on over the festival with Doncaster mum-of-three Donna Woodhead walking away with the spoils of Best Dressed Lady.
The 35-year-old of St Wilfrid’s Road, Bessacarr, won the hotly anticipated competition which formed part of Ladies’ Day.
The 31,500 who went through the turnstiles of the Town Moor venue on Leger Day was a modern day record.
