North Duffield bowling club lawnmower theft
CRIME: Crime scene.
POLICE are on high alert after a lawnmower worth thousands of pounds was stolen from a district bowling club.
The green Dennis mower was taken after a secure container was broken into at North Duffield Bowling Club, York Road, on the evening of Friday February 8.
It is believed that the offenders had damaged the container while making an unsuccessful attempt to access it the previous night.
The mower, which is worth £3,000, has a Peter Wright Crockey Hill Lawnmowers sticker on the side.
Officers are appealing to anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the area around the time of the incident, to get in touch.
Anyone who can help officers with their enquiries is urged to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101 – select option 2 – and ask for PC Tom Jordan or Selby police.
