Carnival crew is winding down
The Rossington Carnival committee could be dissolved in a few months if a new one cannot be formed, says the chairman.
Ron Murkin has announced he is retiring from the chair along with committee members and wants anyone interested in forming a new committee to contact him on 07766 967 620 - before the annual general meeting at the Holmescarr Enterprise Centre on Tuesday, March 26, at 4pm.
Farewell to Roy
A MEMORIAL service for retired pharmacist Roy Walmsley, who ran a chemists in Sandringham Road, Intake, for many years, is to take place at Bessacarr Evangelical Church on Friday. The service will be followed by burial next to his wife, Barbara, at Rose Hill. Mr Walmsley died at the age of 86.
