New village play area is now open!
Peppa Pig Gets a warm welcome from the children at hemingbrough Pre-school's open day.
HEMINGBROUGH pre-school celebrated 18 months of ‘hard work’ when they held an open day for their new outdoor play area.
The set-up was officially opened by two young competition winners and the day also included a special visit from Peppa Pig.
Faith Buckby and Olivia Powell both won colouring competitions and their prize was being able to cut the ribbon on the opening.
Claire Baybut, Chair of the pre-school, said: “This has taken quite a few years to finally come around.
“It’s been a lot of fundraising in that time, and that’s what this open day was about; thanking those who took the time and raised funds.
“There was a good turnout on the day and we had an enjoyable day.”
Claire added that the school are continuing to look at improving other aspects of the area, including developing the garden area for the children.
