New look for Selby’s favourite paper
THE Selby Times has a new look after one of the biggest redesigns for the publication in its 153-year history.
The relaunched paper hit the streets this week with a more colourful look which follows months of preparation.
Changes made to the edition are intended to make it easier to read in its print form, while also strengthen links with the paper’s expanding website, selbytimes.co.uk. Readers will be able to scan pages with their mobile phones to instantly access video related to the story.
Senior staff at the paper have been out and about today to ask the public what they think of the changes.
Editor-in-chief Graeme Huston said: “We have been working hard to produce a new-look paper which we hope our readers will love. The paper may have changed its look, but we have not changed our determination to provide the news that you want to read each week.
“We will never forget that our job is to serve the community we have been part of for more than 100 years, and our commitment to you and your news remains stronger than ever.”
The paper is packed full of news, views, features and sport and special offers, as well as motoring deals, new homes and jobs. There are also some great new features including new columnists more of your letters, more in depth news features, and new nostalgia pages.
