Neve Wilkinson is on the lookout for votes as she aims to be crowned Teen Queen for 2013.

The 13-year old from Camblesforth is one of 50 finalists that are in contention for the honour of the national pageant award.

Neve, who attends Read School in Drax, was one of nearly 20,000 to apply for the award and if she wins has the chance to face campaigns by known fashion and beauty brands such as Fake Bake and PromPerfect Gowns.

There is also a chance to win a contract with a modelling agency. The search for this year’s contestants began last July with monthly heat winners eventually whittling down the entries.

Neve entered the 13 to 15-year-old category and stood eighth in the overall voting table as of Monday afternoon.
