CASH-strapped parents and parents-to-be in Selby have the opportunity to find all the top quality baby clothes, toys and equipment they need at an upcoming National Childbirth Trust Nearly New Sale.
Those expecting may be able to save around 70 per cent on what the items would cost if they were bought new.
The charity says its salers are well-established and trusted by over 200,000 parents who visit them nationally every year, and claim that the NCT nearly new sales represent the best sales of excellent quality used baby and children’s items in the UK.
The NCT Selby branch’s sale takes place on Saturday between 11.15am and 12.30pm at Selby Methodist Church, Portholme Road. For more information visit the www.nct.org.uk/branches/selby website.
The NCT adds that the sale offers an affordable alternative to trawling the high street for pricey baby products and also allows families with baby goods they no longer need to ensure they go to a good home and also help them make some cash at the same time.
Items to be sold must be in excellent condition, and sellers keep up to 70 per cent of the proceeds while the rest is returned to fund NCT’s work.
NCT Nearly New Sales, which are sponsored by Persil-Bio, are the charity’s largest fundraiser, raising over £1 million every year to help support parents in their communities and through UK wide projects. They help NCT branches provide face-to-face support to parents on their doorsteps, as well as funding national helplines, breastfeeding counselling, training antenatal and postnatal teachers and many more services.
