Jane shows hat’s the way to do it!

YOU’VE got to raise your hat to Kellington milliner Jane Hamill!
Her latest sweeter than sweet creation is keeping her a-head of the game and she’s brimming with pride that her hat has been named a runner up in a competition organised by York’s newest visitor attraction the York Chocolate Story.
Jane’s choccy challenge was to create a chapeau that depicts a piece of confectionary that has been produced in York over the years. Her inspiration was one of chocolate’s Christmas classics – the purplewrapped sweetie from the Quality Street tin.
She said: “The Chocolate Story asked millinery students to get their thinking caps on and make a piece of headwear that depicted the long history of chocolate confectionary produced in York over the years. For Jane there was only one piece worth making and that was ‘The Big Purple One’ from the Quality Street selection. The judging took place last week and I runner up, pipped at the post by a Kit-Kat!”
