Selby Hands of Hope have announced more details regarding ‘Project Hope 2013’, which was exclusively revealed by the Selby Times two weeks ago.
The project will see the charity undertake a transformation project at Thorpe Willoughby Childcare Centre, with the building being spruced up, both inside and out.
SHOH has announced that they have set a date of Saturday, March 30 for completion of the overhaul.
The new centre is then set to relaunch on Sunday, April 14.
Wendy Singh, chairwoman for SHOH, has appealed for any help that the scheme can attract.
She said: “We are excited to start this project but we still need more people to come forward and possibly help us.
“We are still looking for a joiner so if you have these skills please get in touch.
“This will be our largest project to date but I am sure we will be able to make a huge difference to the Thorpe Willoughby centre.
“We are also looking to makeover the outside area so please get in touch. This is a community project and already we have had a lot of support from the people of Thorpe Willoughby.”
Anyone interested in helping out should call 01757 213711.
* Meanwhile, SHOH are appealing for any unwanted teddies.
The toys that are donated will be used for the upcoming teddy tombola.
The event will raise more vital funds so if you need a clear out then Hands of Hope are happy to take them.
Donations can be delivered to the Selby Times offices, located on Gowthorpe.
