DO YOU fancy yourself as the next Alan Titchmarsh or Charlie Dimmock? Then Selby Hands of Hope needs you!

As exclusively revealed in the Selby Times the SHOH recently launched ‘Project Hope 2013’, which will see the charity undertake a transformation project at Thorpe Willoughby Childcare Centre, with the building being spruced up, both inside and out.

SHOH has announced that they have set a date of Saturday, March 30 for completion of the overhaul.

The new centre is then set to relaunch on Sunday, April 14.

Wendy Singh, chairwoman for SHOH, is now on the lookout for green-fingered local volunteers to help with the landscaping of the land outside the facility, and for help to make it child friendly.

Also needed are plumbers, joiners, decorators, in fact any handyman/woman who can offer their time to make this charity dream become a reality.

Anyone interested in helping out should call 01757 213711.

* Meanwhile, SHOH are appealing for any unwanted teddies that can be donated to the upcoming fundraising teddy tombola. Donations can be delivered to the Selby Times on Gowthorpe.
