Careers fair at Barlby High School.
IT’S never to early to put your first foot on the career ladder.
Barlby High School held its first ever Careers Fayre last week and, despite the poor weather conditions, the event was attended by 18 different employers, colleges and training providers who were able to give advice and information to the students.
Students from year groups ten and 11 attended along with their parents or carers to gather information, advice and guidance on what choices the students have available to them as they leave school.
Jackie Summers, the school’s associate assistant headteacher with responsibility for inclusion said: “This year is a time of significant change for our students as they are now required more than ever before to be in education, training or employment.
In today’s challenging work environment students need to equip themselves with the right skills and experience to take them forward throughout their future.
“We would like to thank all the employers, colleges and trainers for giving their time and expertise and the parents and carers for supporting their child at this crucial time in their education.”
