NEWS: News.

NEWS: News.

FIRE crews made an emergency dash to a property in Carlton on Sunday at about 5.25am after a blaze broke out in the building’s coal house.

On arrival at the property in Low Street crews discovered a fire in a coal shed which also contained an LPG cylinder.

Crews extinguished the fire from a safe distance and allowed the propane cylinder to vent off fully. Approximately five square metres of fire damage was caused and it was believed to be accidental. Two breathing apparatus and two hose reel jets were used. Crews left the scene at about 7am.
