Cycle thief suspect from Eggborough arrested
BRITISH Transport Police have arrested a 50-year-old man from Eggborough in connection with a rail theft.
BTP put out an appeal following a string of offences involving the theft of cycles from railway stations across the north.
A BTP spokesman said: “I can confirm that a 50 year-old man from Eggborough has been arrested in connection with the theft of a number of cycles from the railway.
“The man has been released on police bail pending further enquiries until 24 November 2012.
“I would like to thank the media for their support in publicising this appeal, and members of the public for the information that they supplied which enabled us to trace and arrest this man”.
