Braking news - Man breaks leg in car smash
A MAN broke his leg in a road collision around 10.40pm yesterday. The crash occured on Willowbridge Road, at the junction with Fulham Lane near Womersley.
The collision involed three vehicles – a black Audi A3, a Volkswagen Caddy and a Citroen DS.
Two people were trapped in the VW and one was trapped in the Audi. All three were removed safely by the fire service, who cut the car doors off.
The driver of the VW suffered a fractured femur and was taken to Pinderfields hospital for treatment.
The three occupants of the Citroen, all men, were all taken to Doncaster Hospital. Two of the men suffered fractured wrists in the incident and one of the men sustained cuts and bruises to his face.
The road was reopened at 2am.
