Boiler deal

SELBY district residents on income related benefits are being urged to take up a new Government led initiative to replace old inefficient gas boilers with new A-rated ones for free this winter.

The change could save up to £300 a year on heating bills. Selby Town Council is working with Carillion Energy Services on the scheme.

Town Council leader Steve Shaw-Wright said “I know the pantomime season is coming to and end, however, the new boilers for old line could come straight from Aladdin.

“The government’s Eco system is well worth a look.”

The scheme is open to people in privately owned or rented accommodation, has a gas boiler that is faulty or old/inefficient and is on certain income related benefits.

As well as a new boiler, the programme provides a one year parts and labour guarantee on top of the manufacturer’s warranty and the first yearly service. To find out more and apply, phone 0800 408 7651 Quoting ECO-005.
