Bigger, better and still the same price - our historic Selby Times relaunch has taken place and is available to buy now
Launching a new look Selby Times.
Welcome to my fourth blog now that the Selby Times historical relaunch has taken place.
It has been months in the making but here it finally is - our new look relaunched Selby Times.
And along with this comes a new outlook for the firm family favourite which marks one of the most historic developments during our 153 years.
Road shows are being rolled out across town to celebrate such exciting Times and March 27 sees one at the Market Place as well as appearing at Sainsbury’s Market Cross store where free goody bags will be available for every edition bought between 10am and 3pm. April 3 sees us return to Morrisons with Tesco’s Portholme Road store featuring a special stand on April 10.
Selby Market Place is revisited on April 17 while Sainsbury’s again play host to our road show the same day.

We have been listening to what our readers want from their favourite weekly newspaper and have included them in our new look edition with more letters, columninsts, picture specials, court stories and regular competitions and puzzles. We’ve already set off this week by offering readers the chance to win a brand new Mini car in a competition that will run for the next four weeks.
Relaunch exclusives will include special coverage of our MP’s Rock The House ringing singing endorsement, plus in next week’s edition we give every reader the chance to get a free filter coffee at the new Selby town centre Wetherspoon’s pub The Bellflower.
Big K colliery, where our area’s miners now work, is subject to the latest Times News Special.
Eight great sport pages will feature a Robins’ boss exclusive interview and a photo spotlight on Sherburn rugby league stars of the future.
Extra value tie-ins include a timely March 13 No Smoking Day exclusive money-saving offer.
Other great giveaways include a Pontins £99 Easter break, Scarborough Sea Life 2 for 1 and a 15 per cent Heaven & Home saver.
Our website will also enjoy a user-friendly redesign upgrade with improved navigation.
Increased regularly-updated content will be easier to find when www.selbytimes.co.uk goes live and clicking.
We are hoping that the relaunch will prove a huge success and our readers like what we have done.
And your Selby Times won’t cost you a penny more in your pockets and purses as we’ve frozen our cover price too.
