Beer hit during last order, order, orders!

IT MAY be quite be some time before a beer as good as Brown Cow Brewery’s Captain Oates is produced!

The ale has just been chosen as one of the best at the annual Great British Beer Festival at Earls Court in London.

The brewery’s Keith Simpson said: “We didn’t know it had been entered for this – it’s very satisfying that a micro brewery like ours has done so well up against the big boys.”

It has also been a hit with MPs wishing to wet their whistles, after Selby and Ainsty member Nigel Adams arranged for it to be a guest beer in a bar at the House of Commons. Mr Adams has presented Keith and wife Sue with a certificate to mark the beer’s sell-out success amongst MPs.
