A taste of Italian cuisine will once again fill the air at Church Fenton’s Wildlife Habitat Protection Trust when the Blakey brothers host one of their fund-raising pizza nights.

Chief executive of the trust Martin Blakey said with the spring season almost upon us, the Church Fenton centre was preparing for a very busy spring/summer season with their extremely popular Pizza in the Park Saturday evenings.

He said: “As a registered charity we are always looking at new ways to raise funds to help us maintain the wildlife sites we manage, and the pizza nights have proved a massive hit for us. We never expected it to take off like it has but the people just kept coming and coming, creating a fantastic atmosphere.”

He added: “Eating pizza has never been so enjoyable, set in a 15-acre woodland with picnic tables around the lake. You can relax in beautiful surroundings while enjoying the peace and tranquillity that this wonderful environment provides.

“This is a fantastic way to help support a local wildlife charity. We are open every Saturday 5pm till late, starting on Saturday April 6, and you can eat in or take away. There is no need to book, just turn up, We’re on Ash Lane.”
