HUNDREDS of CAMRA fans made the second beer festival at the Wadkin Arms in Osgodby a real ale triumph.
A range of tasty tipples from the Brown Cow Brewery in Barlow were on offer including some of its beers in addition to some thirst-quenching ciders.
Pale ale White Dragon proved a popular pint, as did a dark malt from Copper Dragon Brewery, pale Organ Morgan, Dr Morgan’s Clown Poison and Autumn Gem.
Bar staff worker Kari-Anne Wilson hailed the beer fest “a real success” and said hundreds of pounds was also raised, with 50 pence of every pint sold going to charity.
She added: “The festival ran from Friday to Saturday, October 5, 6 and 7, and was packed over the three days. We had quite a few Campaign For Real Ale members visiting and they liked what they tasted. In addition to the beers we had on offer from the Brown Cow Brewery we also had a range of ciders including traditional scrumpy, Wild Organic cider and Wild Rose. We don’t know the exact amount of money raised, but it will go to a cancer charity to be decided. We hope to hold another festival in the future.”
