112mph driver

A PORSCHE driver from Monk Fryston was caught speeding at 112mph on a 70mph road.

David Lightfoot, of Water Lane, was clocked in the powerful Porsche 911 on the A63 at Newthorpe.

The 57-year-old was caught on camera at 4.33pm on July 28.

He pleaded guilty to the offence when he appeared at Selby Magistrates Court last Thursday (October 11).

Lightfoot, whose car has a personalised registration plate, was fined £950.

He was also disqualified from driving for 30 days and ordered to pay the prosecution costs of £45, as well as the mandatory victim surcharge of £15.
