Changing way we eat

SELBY fitness expert Mark Tipping has become a volunteer for the Food Revolution.
He had agreed to give his spare time for free to further the mission of the Jamie Oliver Food Foundation (JOFF).
The Food Revolution has selected a number of volunteers from around the world who showed a deep commitment to real food. Mark will be the Ambassador for York and Selby, and he plans on organising talks in local schools and the community all building up to Food Revolution day on May 17.
Mark, who owns Body Fix Fitness and was named in the 2012 World Fitness Elite, already educates the public on eating real foods over processed food via his boot camps, group personal training and diet clubs and this role will help him spread the word even further.
A spokesman said: “The JOFF mission statement is we want to change the way people eat by educating every child about food, empowering families by arming them with the skills and knowledge to cook again, and inspiring everyone to stand up for their right to better food, which in turn will fight the epidemic of diet-related diseases.”
