Number of road improvements

WORK to resurface sections of the carriageway in Woodland Avenue, Gatesby Road and Charles Drive in Goole, will start on Monday, January 21, and is expected to take four weeks to complete, weather permitting.

The works, which will take place between 8am-4.30pm, will consist of replacing the existing Tarmac and some kerbing work.

The project is part of East Riding of Yorkshire Council’s 2012–2013 programme of road improvements.

The work will be done in phases to minimise disruption to residents. Due to the nature of the work, it will be necessary to close the road within the phase where work is taking place.

This will unfortunately affect access to properties and on-street parking.

Access will be maintained at all times to Goole Hospital and signs will be placed on the approaching streets indicating the route available.

Pedestrian access should remain unaffected.

Bus services will be maintained to and from Goole Hospital. For up-to-date bus information, call Buscall on 01482 222222.

Local residents have received written details of the scheme.

For further information, contact Jeff Taylor on 01482 395504 or Dave Berry on 01482 395694.

For access information whilst the work is in progress, contact Glen Martin on 07917 241315 or Mick Worville on 07917 241365.
