RETURNING back to her roots was budding new author Helen Lawson last Saturday.

Helen (38), a former Goole Grammar School pupil who lived in Old Goole, visited the town’s library to take part in a book signing of her new publication ‘The Spaceship Saga and Other Stories’.

She told the Courier: “The support from Goole has been fantastic, not just friends and family have turned up but even strangers have been in and bought it.

“It’s been really nice to come back.”

She added: “There are five short stories in this book and you can read a full story from start to finish at bedtime.

“It’s for ages six to eight and a truly interactive way to read together with your children.”
